Laboratories
Watericon has a SANAS 17025 accredited laboratory as part of the group, which exists as a support function for our chemical and engineering operations, as well as a commercial lab, where we perform R&D on difficult effluents, produce chemical formulations and conduct water analysis. We also offer a large selection of competitively priced reagents and can supply lab equipment, consumables and glassware.
Chemical
With access to world-class technology and an international supply of raw materials, Watericon provides a full range of chemicals for treatment of water across a range of different industries. Watericon’s chemicals business unit and brand – Hydrance, gives Watericon a complete 360 degree offering to the market, which includes a full range of specialty water treatment chemicals. All products are formulated and blended in our chemical manufacturing plant in Modderfontein, Johannesburg. We have a production capacity of 400 tons per day in our 3000m² facility. Some of our chemicals are SABS 1827 and NSF approved.

Watericon has an equipment and consumables business unit under Yarn home and Industry Filters. Yarn home is one of the biggest importers of water treatment equipment and consumables in Africa. This enables us to maintain one of the largest stock holdings of water treatment chemicals and consumables in Africa, and we supply 90% of the water treatment companies in South Africa.
