Problem Statement
Our client is an Ayrshire milk processor in Pretoria who produces a range of products which contribute to a typical dairy effluent which was being discharged into an irrigation channel. This effluent did not meet the specification and the dairy was threatened with big fines and possible closure if a solution was not implemented.
Solution
After extensive lab trials, Watericon designed an effluent treatment plant to treat the waste stream to irrigation specifications. This stream could now be used for irrigation on the surrounding farms thus avoiding any penalties
