SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE

 

Electrical Control and instrumentation (C&I) engineers are responsible for designing, developing, software programming, installing, managing and maintaining equipment which is used to monitor and control engineering systems, machinery and processes.

 

Your job is to make sure that these systems and processes operate effectively, efficiently and safely.

 

You will need a thorough understanding of the operational processes of the organization as your role is multidisciplinary, working closely with colleagues across a number of functions, including operations, purchasing and design. 

 

Assist in building electrical control panels, installation of cable racking, running cables and troubleshooting electrical malfunctions.

Position Description 

KEY RESULT AREAS 

TIME SPEND

1. Designing and developing new control systems based on specifications and standards. This will include software programming (PLC, DCS and SCADA) and electrical diagram drawings.

2. Supervise and assist in building control panels based on drawings.

3. Supervise and assist in installation, testing and modifying new or existing systems. This will include troubleshooting and setting up instrumentations.

4. Work collaboratively with process engineers, purchases and internal staff.

5. Liaising with clients, suppliers, contractors and relevant authorities

FORMAL EDUCATION / ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS 

Highest Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering preferred

EXPERIENCE

In this role

At least 5-year electrical / C&I experience in Industrial environment

Water Treatment project expertise would be preferred 

 

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES AND REGISTRATION 

Membership 

Not Needed.

Licences
